Very easy to use and also is very fast to process the videos and gifs. would be amazing a mac app (try electron). The price is a little high but variety of plans would be better.

Pros:

Very easy to use and very fast.

Cons:

Only available on web.

Kapwing Pro Customer. Spent hours putting a video together and then the item failed to publish after repeated attempts. Zero response from customer service after multiple attempts at contact and allowed 7 days for any reply. No response to date. Couldn't possibly recommend to anyone, especially the paid service.

1. The software, atleast the main overall tool - Studio - is incredibly clunky. It is ridden with bugs. It also fails to save properly and you keep losing a bunch of your work. As an exmaple of its bugs, right now I am facing a problem where a trimmed portion of the video is showing up on the final export and the subtitles are all off-sync from it too. Exported it multiple times! Argh! 2. It provides zero indication if its actually doing any processing or not in the background and occasionally just "hangs". Which is weird for a software on the cloud. 3. An immense number of basic features are just pure lacking that I feel are necessary - an undo/history feature, transition features that are actually use-able, audio adjustment across layers, export of entire video's subtitle file (can only export individual layer). 4. The export quality simply is not high. Even when you choose the 1080p option. It also dampens the audio in the video for no reason! 4. Looking for its training center feels like a maze. Once you find it, there is a small bunch of tutorial articles that are decent but is the barest minimum you can think of. But beyond that, the resources section reads more like marketing material that gets ridiculous to go through!

Product promised a lot as solution to subtitles on iMovie. I purchased 1 month pro account. First time worked like a dream. Second time subtitles kept not being able to overwrite. Wrote to customer services, they recognised the glitch and they woudl have a fix in 3 days. I went in at the end of day 3 no fix. I wrote asking for an update. No reply. 9 days later I tried again. I realised if I duplicated then I could overwrite. Completed subtitles on 7 minute video. Saved. Went back in and subtitles mixed up in wrong order and some missing altogether. I thought I hadn't saved properly as I went straight to trying to add audio. So I repeated task pressing done regularly to capture my work. Got to the end and problem repeated. Subtitles mixed up and missing. Go to their FB page and other people talking about non-existent customer services. Waste of time and money. Deleted my account

Pros: No watermark if signing up Cons: It frequently crashes and it costs MONEY to KEEP YOUR VIDEOS PRIVATE, WTF

I LOVE IT! Best video editing software ever, and so easy to use!! Due to covid, my volunteer group had to move online. I had the hardest time finding a good video editor with the essential features, that's easy to use. Other programs were too complicated and not user-friendly. I couldn't figure out how to do simple functions, eg trimming a video. It took several months of searching before I found Kapwing from the local library. I was so excited! Best video editing software EVER!

No one responds to customer support - didn't even get confirmation email that I submitted a request. So, all my work was lost and I am on to another tool!

This editing software thing is broken because if a scene ends, it switches to a random scene which sucks, when I want to scale the text, the next time I see it its the wrong size, and if I want to trim a video and put the output I want, it will change the output slightly but it doesn't really help. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS

This product doesn't really work well on mobile (ex: ipad, iphone, android) for example the meme generator, when you choose a template and it just leads you to a blank page that literally says kapwings.com. It does not work at all, you cant upload an image from your phone on this app which really sucked.

EEE - Efficient, Effective and Easy-to-use tool. Having used it for more than two months now, I find Kapwing to be a very useful and handy tool for creating online videos and presentations.
Why is the rating so low?
I love Kapwing so far. It's very easy to use and has a lot of fun tools. I don't do any serious editing though. I used it to take a YouTube clip and turn it into a ring tone. I could see creating some memes, or using it to edit some photos as well. For my purposes, I'll be sticking with the free version. I think they'd be smarter to offer a bigger variety of plans. It's not really geared to people that do serious editing, it's more for people that want to play around. Those people will likely not pay 20$ a month and will stick with the free version like I did.
I purchased Kawping to do some quick video editing for some social media videos. Unfortunately, when trying to export the video, it wouldn’t download. I quickly found another software to use instead. I requested a refund within 24 hours of purchasing their product  and they refused. When I tried deleting my account, I kept getting an error message. Eventually customer support said they deleted my account. They said they wouldn’t give me a refund because they need the money to support their free tools, pathetic. “Every video costs us money. The Pro payments are the only way that we're able to offer most of our tools for free.” It’s too bad.

Kapwing is a really promising product in theory, but in practice, it's EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING to use. It's hard to complain when the buggy features are free, but the subtitles do not work as they should. Specifically, 20 pt font looks different when Kapwing generates it than when you manually type it in. This would be a minor concern but paired with the fact that Kapwing has no way to adjust how far to the left or right the text is extending, the captions can look really bad unless you're doing them by hand. This is an extremely painful prospect if you're doing more than a couple second long clip. Again. It's free, and that's awesome, but there are definitely a few changes the developers could make to make this more comfortable to use.
