I’m genuinely impressed by HeyGen’s Avatar IV. What stands out immediately is the fusion of simplicity and sophistication: from a single photo and a short script, Avatar IV creates a fully-animated, expressive video avatar — complete with lip sync, facial micro-expressions, natural head movements and even hand gestures.
In my experience testing it, the results feel remarkably human. The model seems to interpret tone and rhythm, not just mimic them — there’s a tangible sense of timing and emotion.
The fact that you can animate not just humans but also stylised characters, pets or even anime-style avatars extends its creative potential enormously.
Hey PH,
i'm Bin Liu, i lead agentic video product & engineering at @HeyGen
the past 5 months has been absolutely crazy:
- we open sourced HyperFrames: now we have over 56,000 stars on github (https://github.com/heygen-com/hy...)
- we launched HyperFrames skills: now we are ranked 13th most popular skill of all time on skills.sh - and climbing into all-time top 10 very soon
- we integrated HyperFrames into majority if not all agentic platforms: Claude, Codex, Hermes, Grok, Claude Design, and many more.
and today, we are finally launching our first consumer product: HyperFrames Studio - built for founders, marketers, storytellers and their agents.
for those of you who aren't familiar with HyperFrames yet:
HyperFrames lets an agent write a video as HTML and render it to MP4. The hard part is everything after the first draft - describing in chat which word at which second needs to change.
HyperFrames Studio is the editor for that part. Claude Code or Codex builds the video, and you direct it on the frame:
- Draw on the frame - circle the title, write "glow pink, flicker on letter by letter" and the agent makes the edit
- Comment on any element - click a word or a clip, leave a note, then send all your notes at once
- Start from videos that work - we’ve rebuilt the highest performing videos as code to help agents create better videos
- Edit by hand when you want to - timeline, clip speed, and export to MP4, WebM or MOV up to 4K
our HyperFrames core technology is open source: https://github.com/heygen-com/hy...
Studio runs on macOS and Linux, Windows is coming soon: https://hyperframes.dev/studio/d...
@bin_heygen Any idea when Windows is coming? Also, can I use it with Claude Code on my own machine, or does it need a HeyGen account first?
Excuse me, what kind of videos are you good at making as an AI market video studio? SaaS tools? E-commerce products?
@anthony_cai great question - hyperframes studio is built for founders, storytellers, marketers who got blocked video editing
it's best at motion graphics, product launch videos and talking video re-cuts and clipping
checkout our launch video - it was fully made in the Studio.
Always need a product like this!
@folsee thank you for the support!
With HyperFrames being an open source project on your side, how do you make decisions regarding what will remain open source and what will go to Studio?
Btw, Congratulations @bin_heygen & team HyperFrames Studio 🎊
Which word at which second is exactly the part that doesn't survive chat. We hit the same wall scripting social video, timing feedback is unresolvable in text, you say make it land a bit earlier and get a different wrong answer every round. Rendering the video as HTML is the interesting bet here because it makes the timeline diffable instead of opaque. 56k stars says the agent half already works, the editor is the right thing to put in front of it.
