I've never been a fan of the fact that simple things like your notes and Kanban boards sit on a cloud somewhere instead of on your laptop where AI models can actually access them. I love how IDEs work—your code files live locally with a copy on GitHub, which means tools like Claude Code can work directly on them. Hillnote brings that same approach to your notes and workspace.
Local AI also means no charges per request, no subscription required, and none of your data ever leaves your device 🙂
