Transform your Gmail into organized task lists

Drag Free is a free tool to transform your Gmail into organized Task Lists. Drag’s Task List app turns your inbox into a manageable workspace (just like Trello, but for Gmail). Drag ‘n drop your emails between stages; To Do, Doing and Done, and customize them. It makes the hours spent in your inbox a whole lot easier and more organized.

What do you think? …

Saied Tehrani
@nptimms well done! You probably have seen this question coming 😉: What is the difference between DragApp and Sortd?
Nick Timms
@saiedtehrani Absolutely, seen it coming, however I have not prepared an answer, so here we go :) Sortd is great. We've had a lot of feedback from users suggesting that sometimes, tools such as Sortd are really comprehensive and are a big fix for a small problem. Sortd is very mature and a great product (I believe they're pivoting a little at the moment). For us, we want Drag to be super-simple, clean, and self-explanatory. We're introducing features such as customized columns, notes, checklists, team boards, etc. but all in a really clean way. We also don't want to override the way you use Gmail but instead support the current way you use Gmail. I'm not sure if you've seen, but here's our Public Roadmap so you can openly see all developments: https://trello.com/b/41FGtlod/ If you get the chance to review, I'd love to hear what your thoughts are compared to the Sortd and other tools in this space?
James Welch
@nptimms @saiedtehrani Good luck with this, Nick. If it's faster than Sortd then I'm in, as will be many thousands of others.
Nick Timms
@jwelch @saiedtehrani James, thank you! Lot's of confidence-boosting comments today which is hugely appreciated. We plan to go down a really simple route with Drag (I really believe that's what users need). Thanks again.
Semira Amiralai
@nptimms @saiedtehrani I'm trying to wrap my head around the same Q/A having been a Sortd user for a while. Both are great but I haven't yet discovered the main difference. Anyone?
Nick Timms
@saiedtehrani How did you get on with Sortd vs. Drag? I hope we persuaded you! To let you know, new Pro PH launch happened today: https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Nick Timms
Hey everyone (thanks Kevin for the listing!). I want to introduce Drag. I would love everyone's feedback. We have a Public Roadmap here (so you can see what we're working on): https://trello.com/b/41FGtlod/ Drag transforms your Gmail into organized Task Lists. Drag’s free Task List app turns your inbox into a manageable workspace (just like Trello, but for Gmail). Drag ‘n drop your emails between stages; To Do, Doing and Done until their complete. It makes the hours spent in your inbox a whole lot easier and more organized. We use a layout called ‘Kanban’ right inside Gmail. You’ll know it from tools such as Trello or Pipedrive Kanban is a way of managing tasks in a lean way, it allows you to visually map your workflow –we’re the first to bring this to Gmail.
John Schenk
@nptimms Good stuff, and just in the nick of time!
Nick Timms
@johnschenk Haha, I really hope so John!
Rotem Yakir
@nptimms can I use it with inbox?
Nick Timms
@rotemthegolfer Hey Rotem, not just yet. But we're working on this, in the background. Have you seen our Public Roadmap? You can get a full picture of what's happening with Drag here: https://trello.com/b/41FGtlod (and add any ideas you have also!)
Adam Lieb
@nptimms @rotemthegolfer is there anyway to incorporate "reminders" from Inbox. This has become a vital feature for to-dos. I often write them on my phone, and would love to "drag them" in your tool. Curious if that is possible.
Danny McDonald
Had no idea this existed. I literally created a Trello board the other day to prioritize my email just like this. Love it, and never heard of Sortd either. Think I may give of them a try and see how it goes! Meanwhile, I love the toggle to switch from Gmail to Drag quickly. It's like swiping between screens on my mac, super quick and I will fidgetly do it a lot. Love this!
Nick Timms
@danny_mcdonald Hey Danny, a lot of people don't know these tools exist in Gmail. They didn't until recently, and now it's a race! :) Hope you really enjoy it. Here's our Public Roadmap also, so you can see what's planned for Drag: https://trello.com/b/41FGtlod
Danny McDonald
@nptimms Just to follow up. I installed this on one of my Gmail's (my most frequently used one) and I noticed that every time I try to go back to my inbox, my gmail crashed :\ Definitely started happening after I installed this plugin. Figured I'd let you guys know!
Nick Timms
@danny_mcdonald Hey Danny, FYI we will be launching Team boards (where you can collaborate just like Trello, next month. We also just launched Drag Pro on PH today too: https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Duda Bardavid
hey @danny_mcdonald hope Drag has been helping you be more productive? By the way our new version is live today, FYI: https://www.producthunt.com/post... (please feedback if you have some time. today!)
Kristofer™
This looks great. I like the toggle on/off switch to get back to reg gmail
Nick Timms
@kristofertm Hey Kristofer, thanks so much for feedback. Toggle is important, as we're trying to avoid replacing your Gmail experience, simply enhancing it. We have a Public Roadmap highlighting our users, feedback and therefore our developments in priority order. Hope you enjoy it :) https://trello.com/b/41FGtlod/
Nick Timms
@kristofertm you still toggling? New Pro version live today, FYI: https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Duda Bardavid
hey @kristofertm how is it going? Our new version, Drag Team, is live today, FYI: https://www.producthunt.com/post... (please feedback if you have some time. today!)
Stowe Boyd
My first glitch: I installed, but Drag only uses a fixed amount of space for display of the Kanban-ish lists, so the bottom half of my 40 inch monitor is not being used, and I can only see six or so emails. Too restricting.
Nick Timms
@stoweboyd Hey Stowe, this shouldn't be the case! But a massive thanks for the feedback. Have you ever tried it before as I'm wondering if it's to do with local cache? I don't have this problem. You can check out our Public Roadmap to see when this feature was addressed: https://trello.com/b/41FGtlod/ Love to get to the bottom of this, so if you could email me a print screen, it's nick@dragapp.com. Thanks so much.
Duda Bardavid
@stoweboyd hey Stowe, have you checked Drag recently? Glad to say that we solved this problem, hopefully you will come back to Drag :) We also just launched Drag Pro on PH today: https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Duda Bardavid
Hey @stoweboyd just checking if you are still using Drag :) Our new version is live today, FYI: https://www.producthunt.com/post... (please feedback if you have some time. today!)
Marco Burgin
Hey @nptimms! Best idea ever!!!
Nick Timms
@marco_burgin Haha Marco, too kind! Hope you're enjoying :)
Brad Thibeau
Great product! Quick question. When I turned it on, everything went into "To Do". Is there a way to bulk move to completed?
Nick Timms
@thibeaub12 Hey Brad, we're not quite there yet on the To Do. We're working on an onboarding process so you'll be able to select/start with zero and then add those in, or start with all. We're about two weeks away from sorting that. FYI, here's our Public Roadmap https://trello.com/b/41FGtlod :)
Brad Thibeau
@nptimms Awesome. Thanks for the quick response!
Duda Bardavid
Hey @thibeaub12 hope you adjusted your workflow to work with Drag? :) We are soooo much faster and comprehensive now! By the way, we have just launched Drag Pro on PH today: https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Duda Bardavid
Hey @thibeaub12 hope Drag is still helping you be more productive? By the way our new version is live today, FYI: https://www.producthunt.com/post... (please feedback if you have some time. today!)
