[Proposal] Bridge Memory: Safely “borrow” context across projects

TL;DR

Bridge Memory is a feature idea for Claude (Anthropic s AI assistant) that lets devs temporarily pull in read-only context ( Memory Chips ) from other projects for a single thread so you can reuse standards, snippets, and runbooks without leaking data or polluting memories.

I am not a developer but the amount I am able to build utilising ChatGPT alongside is astonishing. I’ve used it for debugging, connecting MCPs, making changes across projects and building things I could have only dream of creating.

What needs improvement

better user interface (1)better visibility into agent actions (1)

I’d like the option of having more visibility into what it’s actually doing while it works. I can follow the overall task, but when it starts running commands and changing files quickly, it can be hard to tell which actions just need simple permission approval and which ones actually need my full attention.

A clearer explanation of what each step is doing, especially before higher-impact actions, would make it much easier to supervise properly without slowing everything down.
