Hey everyone, Max here from Basedash.
Today we're launching verified dashboards: a way for admins to mark the dashboards your team should trust.
Once a workspace has a lot of dashboards, "which revenue number is right?" becomes a real question. Two dashboards can look alike and still disagree.
Now an admin can open a dashboard's more menu and pick Verify dashboard. A green Verified chip shows up next to its name for everyone who opens it, and hovering it shows who verified it and when. It's the same badge verified models already use, so dashboards and models now work the same way.
Only admins can verify. Edits keep the verification, a duplicated dashboard starts unverified, and every verification or removal is recorded in the audit log.
Happy to answer anything.
This is underrated. Once a team has 40 dashboards, the problem isn't making a new one, it's knowing which one is true. Does the verified chip drop off if the underlying model or query changes?
congrats on the launch max. verified looks small but it fixes a real fight, every team i worked with had two dashboards with two revenue numbers and nobody knew which one to trust. only thing i would change is edits keeping the chip, if the query under it changes i want to at least see that
