What do you think? …

Saba Karim
Last month I fell down a weird rabbit hole. I was playing around with a meal tracking concept — but ended up pointing the camera at everything except food. It started as a joke. I scanned my chair, and it told me: “Looks fancy, but might be hurting you long-term.” That one hit. So I scanned my TV. My bookshelf. Even my plants... And suddenly, I started thinking bigger. I was thinking about the stuff around me: Where I live, what I touch, what I surround myself with, and what it all might say. That moment led to Aurascope. Aurascope is a camera-first mobile app that lets you scan people, places, and things — and gives each one an aura score out of 100. It analyzes over 500 visual and contextual signals — from lighting and composition to mood, context, time of day, and emotional cues. There are dozens of metadata layers in every scan. (I was a photographer in a past life BTW). It started as single-player: explore the world, scan your surroundings, build a collection, become more self-aware, and display it all on your beautiful spinning orbit. But users quickly asked for more: to view global leaderboards, compete with friends, and compare their scores — so that’s what we’re revealing now. The beauty is, and please try this yourself, there’s no long onboarding. No account needed. You’re scanning in 5 seconds and getting value instantly. This was especially important after seeing so many apps make users jump through countless hurdles to only be presented with a paywall. We've even heard people would love to see awards and prizes for achieving the highest score for the week or month etc., so we're looking into how to bring that to life too. I mean, who doesn't want to get paid for $aura farming? Anyway, if you try it, we would LOVE your feedback. Let me know what you scan first — your mug, your desk, your dog, your ex’s hoodie on your desk (we’ve seen it all). This is just the beginning. Thanks for reading!

Interesting blend of AR and social engagement! 😊

Saba Karim

@shenjun , yeah I think AI and AR give photos a lot more life

Nika

It reminds me of those paranormal TV shows when they scanned the Ectoplasm. :D

I think that there is a group of people who would like to use it (Ghostbusters are back)

Saba Karim

@busmark_w_nika , I had to google Ectoplasm haha. But you're not wrong. Thanks for checking it out - it means a lot.

Nika

@sabakarim I liked those ghost series, I think it would be successful! :D

Saba Karim

@busmark_w_nika , me too!

Congratulations on launching Aurascope! The concept of tracking energy influence is intriguing. How do you determine the aura points for different objects and locations, and what metrics are used to assess their impact on users’ energy?

Saba Karim

@ica_lestari , just like KFC seven secret herbs and spices aura score engine is inside a hidden vault. Does over 501 meta signals, but to give you a clue it’s not just outfit or composition that you would expect from most social apps these days. Think of it as what’s good for me or what does joy mean.

James Anderson

Wow, this is exactly what I needed! Congrats on the launch 🚀."

Saba Karim
