throxy is Y Combinator's first AI native sales agency, booking qualified sales meetings for B2B companies selling into industries where generic outreach fails: manufacturing, logistics, construction. We build lists using proprietary tech, then our sales reps call your buyers. New this month: calls routed to an SDR who speaks the lead's language, so a plant manager in Lyon hears French + a buyer in Munich hears German. You pay for meetings you accept that actually happen. [All SDRs are humans]

Hi Product Hunt community, Pablo here, co-founder of throxy. We came through Y Combinator last year and run outbound for great b2b companies, from F500 to fast scaling start ups.
Today we're launching local-language calling. When a lead comes up, our system checks where they are and routes the call to an SDR who speaks their language. The SDR opens in that language. That matters most when the person picking up runs a factory floor in Lyon and has never taken a cold call in English.
Some numbers since we finished YC last Spring: we've served 149 companies and booked more than 4500 meetings. We've now made over 3.8M+ cold calls.
Are you a fit for throxy? We work best with B2B software companies that have a working product, a clear buyer and a market that's hard to reach with email sequences alone.
We'd love your feedback, especially from anyone who sells into Europe. What would you want to hear in the first ten seconds of a cold call?
a plant manager in Lyon picking up and hearing French from the first second is so obvious once you say it, i'd hang up on an english cold call too lol
when a client sells into 4 or 5 countries, is it one SDR switching langauge or a different person per market??? and does the lead keep the same rep for the follow up call???
@thamibenjelloun we have our own dialler called Maestro. what happens is that when a prospect picked up, it's routed immediately to the best caller for that one product, who also speaks that specific language. on top of that, our SDRs have live in call coaching on how best to identify pain, earn an additional 30 seconds and ultimately book a meeting
Very interesting approach. I've seen a lot of AI SDRs online but I'm not sure increasing volume of digital comms (emails and LinkedIn) is a good idea. Those channels seem very saturated now and you're probably just adding to the noise. Been hearing from a lot of people I respect that "cold calling is back" so I'd be fascinated to see what the uplift is from talking to prospects in their own language
@tris_tusa123 yes, we noticed those channels becoming much more saturated about a year ago. cold calling is an amazing way to build a relationship quickly. it also tends to be the part of the job that SDRs hate the most, which means there's a huge opportunity if your company specializes in doing it well
@pablo_jimenez_de_parga do you guys think much about tracking intent signals? i've seen a lot of people talking about it online recently
Having a French speaker call a plant manager in Lyon, and a German speaker call a buyer in Munich, sounds obvious, yet almost nobody does it. A cold call in someone’s second language is over before the pitch starts. Great move
@adelaida_jimenez_de_parga usually the things that are the most obvious are the ones pursuing, even if it feels like it might be a complex process to execute at first. it's never as hard as it seems!
This makes a lot of sense. Picking up an unexpected call is one thing, having to switch to English on the spot is another. Nice to see the focus on making the conversation better, rather than just making more calls.
@youssef_majdalani call quality is the #1 lever for improved results when you're operating at the scale we are! appreciate the kind words youssef. how do you usually answer cold calls?
@pablo_jimenez_de_parga I’m usually a bit sceptical at first, but when someone speaks French or Arabic, I feel more at ease. The conversation flows more naturally and feels less like a sales pitch, which makes me more open to hearing them out.
@youssef_majdalani yep we have seen a similar uplift since we started testing and looking at the data. there are some countries where it is more impactful than others (germany and france would be two of those) but in general it is a better play, just harder to execute at scale. but not impossible :)
The product vocabulary matters as much as the language here. A call to a factory manager needs to sound like the rep understands their work, even after the opening line.
@oleksii_sekundant we work with a lot of software companies who sell into traditional industries like manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and construction. they know the lingo and then our in call coaching supports them throughout the call :)
