Just a few weeks ago, OpenAI announced ChatGPT Apps, powered by Model Context Protocol (MCP) — and it’s already reshaping how software is built and consumed. How I met the founders?
I first connected with @teoborschberg back in August when they were onboarding early users and rapidly iterating based on feedback.
Even then, the product’s utility was obvious. Since that first conversation, the team has shipped major improvements and refined the experience significantly and today’s launch really shows it.
What struck me immediately was how big the gap is in the MCP ecosystem. Only large SaaS companies seemed to have MCPs, and when I hunted the Zapier MCP in May 2025, remember thinking, “Why isn’t this accessible to everyone?” Ogment is the answer to that question.
