ZOTHOS is a Debian 13 (trixie) Linux desktop with a gold KDE Plasma 6 theme, built for people who run AI coding agents. It ships Ollama, Aider and other agent CLIs, a Rust secrets vault that injects keys into RAM, Cockpit Pro and security tooling.

Hey Product Hunt, I'm Neal, a creative technologist in Virginia Beach. ZOTHOS is the Linux desktop I wanted for working with AI coding agents without leaking keys everywhere. It's Debian 13 (trixie) with KDE Plasma 6, built from a live-build config you can read and rebuild yourself. What's in it today: • Agent CLIs ready to launch: Aider (works offline with Ollama), Claude Code, Codex, Cline, Antigravity, Hermes, plus Cursor • zoth-vault: a small Rust daemon (Argon2id + ChaCha20-Poly1305) that injects secrets into a child process's environment, so `zoth-vault run -- aider` gets your API key without it sitting in a dotfile • Cockpit Pro: an Electron dashboard (with a curses fallback) for CPU/RAM, network, processes and the local daemons • Four desktop profiles you switch with one command, including a Tor "ghost" mode • A Calamares installer with optional LUKS Honest status: this is an early release. Over the last week I fixed the ISO build on trixie, BIOS + UEFI boot, the lock screen and 7 broken desktop launchers, and the build log is public on X (). Expect rough edges, especially on real hardware with hybrid GPUs. What I'd love from you: boot it in a VM or on a spare machine and tell me the first thing that breaks or confuses you.
