ZoneFoundry for Sonos - Voice-first Sonos controller with MCP for Claude & ChatGPT

by
ZoneFoundry for Sonos is an iOS controller for Sonos speakers. One search box across Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music and NetEase; voice in English, Mandarin and Cantonese (“play some jazz in the living room and the kitchen”, with undo); scenes, whole-home announcements, lock-screen Live Activities, Control Center, Shortcuts and Siri. Works on your Wi-Fi with no account. Built-in MCP server: generate a key in Settings and Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client can run your speakers.

Hi everyone — maker here. I built ZoneFoundry because the official Sonos app splits my music across services and its voice control doesn't understand Cantonese or Mandarin.

So: one search box across Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music and NetEase; voice in English, Mandarin and Cantonese (“play some jazz in the living room and the kitchen” groups the rooms and plays — with an undo button); scenes, whole-home announcements, news briefings, lock-screen Live Activities, Control Center, Shortcuts and Siri.

Two things I want to be upfront about: it works on your Wi-Fi with no account (sign in only for remote control), and 46 of the 50 features need nothing installed at home — EQ, alarms, battery and line-in aren't exposed by the Sonos cloud API, so those are local-network only.

The part I use most: a built-in MCP server. Generate a key in Settings and Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client can run your speakers.

It's free on the App Store (iOS 18+). I read every bug report — please send them.
