I built yxcode because I wanted my iPad to be more than a device for reading code. The goal was simple: make a real development environment that you can carry anywhere. Local editing is free, and when you need a full Linux, macOS, or Windows environment, you can connect over SSH and keep working with your existing tools and files. A lot of the work went into making the architecture feel like a real code editor rather than a remote terminal wrapped in a web view. This is still a work in progress, and I’d really love feedback from developers who actually use an iPad for coding. What would make yxcode genuinely useful for your workflow?
