Today we are writing up an email to YC and hopefully getting their eyes on the project! I think it would be a good addition to their website and if we can get some more official or helpful APIs to hit and extract data from for YC it would be amazing!

I’ve been thinking about reaching out to Y Combinator too. The opportunity feels huge, but I want my approach to feel geniuine and focused
@new_user___090202674ab6e030a7a9c52 I really like this move. I’ve noticed YC responds better when founders clearly explain the problem they’re obsessed with solving instead of just pitching features.
@konstantimb This is a solid direction , especially if you're trying to turn YC data into something more structured and usable for builders.
One thing I'm curious about , are you planning to position Explore YC more as discovery layer for YC companies, or as an infrastructure layer that depends on YC eventually opening up more official APIs?

@charlotte_harris2 i would definitely love it if YC opens some public APIs in future. At the moment it is just a tool which can be used by anyone to get a better view of YC’s rich data!

I haven't dived deeply into your app yet and just wondering if you're planning (or is it released already) to add some AI features like a daily / weekly summaries for the filters / categories applied by the users.
We're building an e-commerce automation app for Shopify, Amazon, eBay sellers and it would be helpful for us to track the competitors and get an automated summary about the new products.

ExploreYC is a really nice way to explore YC's portfolio - structured data makes it much easier to spot patterns and emerging trends than browsing the official directory.
Just curious, any plans to build an MCP server for ExploreYC? Exposing the dataset to AI agents can unlock a whole second use case on top of the human-facing UI - agents doing market research, competitive mapping, or sourcing could query it directly.
