I spun a globe and landed on live radio in Surat, India !! World Radio is being launched soon..

World Radio started with a small annoyance: I wanted to hear what a city sounds like, not read about it.

It's a 3D globe with about 58,000 live stations on it. Spin it, tap a glowing dot, and you're listening to a real broadcast from that place — a jazz bar in Tokyo, a call-in show in Buenos Aires, a breakfast show in Dublin. No account, no sign-up, no app store.

Two things I didn't expect:

• The dots turn out to be a map of the world's media. Europe is a solid wall of green; whole countries are one lonely dot.

• The feature I use most is the lock-screen controls, because I listen while driving.

Honest bits: it's a free side project, and a short sponsored break every few minutes is what pays for the bandwidth. It's deliberately minimal — no login wall, no tracking.

2. What's missing that would make you keep it open? I'm building this in public, so I'd rather have the harsh version.
