How I built a heart-rate driven AI meditation app

by

Hi everyone! I’m FlashTiger, the solo dev behind WhatsFeel.

I've been dealing with insomnia for a long time, and I grew tired of the same old, static meditation recordings. They never felt "present"—they didn't know I was stressed, and they definitely didn't know my heart was racing at 85 bpm while I was trying to fall asleep.

So, I built WhatsFeel.

Here is what makes it different:

  • Real-time Biometrics: It connects directly to your heart rate monitor (Garmin, Coros, Polar, or any standard BLE 0x180D device).

  • Adaptive AI Guidance: If it detects a spike in your heart rate, the AI dynamically adjusts its tone and meditation logic on the fly to help bring you back to center.

  • Privacy-First: This was my #1 rule. I don’t store your health data. All processing happens locally/in real-time.

I’d love to hear what you think. If you have a heart rate monitor and a few minutes to spare, please try it out and roast me in the comments—I’m pushing hotfixes daily and your feedback is the only way this gets better.
