Hey Product Hunters - Long time browser here, finally posting my first Product! 🎊 I built Whatis out of the belief that teams and organisations could be doing a far better job at managing their Business Terminology. If you are anything like me, you have experienced: - Terror at being in a meeting and not knowing what something means ("OMG WHAT IS DAU AGAIN!!") - Frustration joining a new company and having to ask 13 people where the spreadsheet is with all the out of date acronyms. - Irritation at being asked yet again for your project's documentation links or who the new PMM is. These may all be intense emotions, but terminology confusion has a real impact on our organisations' productivity too, wasting hundreds of hours a year! I am also open-sourcing a version of Whatis bot for the adventurous among you (https://github.com/wooddar/whatis) 🥳

I've been using this bot for the last year (thanks Hugo!) and it's made the way we work and interact with colleagues, especially new ones, so much better. As a company grows, the number of acronyms inevitably increases - this bot massively helps!

Whatis bit is a fantastic bit of innovation that improves the productivity of any company measurably. It's a great way of sharing knowledge, saving time for people with and answering questions, helping them to focus on things that really matters for their business. Would recommend without hesitation
