Webhook Debugger v2.8: Hot-Reload, Deep Search & Enterprise Security

by•

Hi Product Hunt! 👋

It’s been a crazy month. We launched Webhook Debugger recently to help developers inspect webhooks without the pain of ngrok tunnels or local server setups.

Today, we’re back with Version 2.8—a massive update focused on Velocity and Security.

Why use this over RequestBin or ngrok? Most tools are just "loggers". We built a full Debugging Environment that sits between your provider (Stripe, GitHub) and your backend.

🔥 What’s New in v2.8?

1. Zero-Downtime Hot-Reload No more restarting your debugger to change settings.

  • Want to increase rate limits?

  • Need to rotate your Auth Key?

  • Need 5 more webhook URLs instantly? Just update the config. The Actor hot-reloads in <10ms without dropping a single connection.

2. Deep Replay Search Ever missed a bug by 2 days? Our new /replay endpoint now paginates through gigabytes of history to find that ONE failed event from last Tuesday and replay it to your localhost.

3. Enterprise Security (SSRF Protection) We now block forwarding requests to private networks (10.x, localhost). If you're using this in a team, you can trust it won't leak internal data.

4. "Launch Packs" We realized tools are useless without guides. We added Playbooks for:

  • Revenue Recovery: Catching missed Stripe payments during high-load launches.

  • Legacy Migration: Safely comparing API versions side-by-side.

âš¡ Quick Start

You don't even need an account to test it locally: git clone -> npm start.

Or try the hosted version on Apify (100% free tier available).

wdyt? I’ll be hanging out in the comments all day to answer questions about webhook headaches! 👇
