I bet that idle games are too easy — so I added taxes, staffing, and mine collapse

Hey PH 👋

Quick confession: I might've overcomplicated an idle game on purpose, and I need this community to tell me if that was smart or dumb.

Here's the thing about idle tycoons — tap, wait, collect, repeat. It's the whole genre. Works great, but once you've played one you've played them all. The number just goes up in the background while you do literally nothing.

So with Wealthon: Idle Tycoon Life Sim, I tried something different. Yeah, you tap to earn. But then that cash goes into a real economy — a live stock market (30 companies, prices actually move), mining across 16 sites worldwide, land in 42 countries, 8 business types from coffee shop to full airport, and a 64-piece luxury collection (cars, yachts, even private islands).

The part I'm not sure about: I made almost nothing purely passive. Stocks swing. Mines halt and need cleanup money. Businesses stop paying if you forget to restock or staff them. Taxes are progressive and come due on a timer, with late fees stacking if you ignore them. Basically — I turned "idle" into something you actually have to show up for.

Is that a feature or a bug? Genuinely asking:

🔹 Does friction like this make an idle game MORE addictive, or does it just make people quit faster?

🔹 What actually brings you back to a tycoon game day after day?

🔹 Got a favorite idle game that nailed its pacing? I want to study it before launch.

Roast the idea, love the idea, whatever — just want honest takes from people who actually play this genre before launch day. I'll be in the comments 🙌
