We built WalkPass after realizing how hard it is to stay active while spending hours glued to our phones every day. Most screen-time apps focus on blocking distractions, but we wanted something more positive and motivating. The idea was simple: what if walking became the key to unlocking your favorite apps or rewards? During development, we experimented with different ways to balance motivation and usability. We wanted the experience to feel fun instead of punishing, so we focused on habit-building, movement tracking, and simple challenges anyone could stick with.
