What's the worst auto-dub moment you've shipped? Mine was a brand name

by•

A while back I shipped a dub where our own brand name came out as a different word. Not a translation bug — a pronunciation bug. QA caught it on day two, and the "fix" was to re-render the entire video, for one line of dialogue.

That was the moment I stopped believing in whole-video dubbing.

Since then I've been building Voxtakes around one rule: you should be able to fix one line without paying for the whole video again. Per-line credits, a brand glossary so your own name is never guessed, and a transcript you can read before the voice is generated.

But I'd rather hear your stories than mine:

  1. What's the worst auto-dub failure you've shipped — or quietly deleted? Wrong language, wrong emotion, wrong name, robotic pacing: all fair game.

  2. 2. Was it a fix-you-can't-fix situation, where one 3-second line meant redoing the whole track?

  3. 3. If you could edit a single line of a finished dub without re-rendering, what would you fix first?

I'll answer every comment with what actually happens under the hood in our pipeline. Launch day is Nov 4 (12:01 AM PT), so there's time to get specific.
