Maybe it’s just me… but AI lately feels more like templates than actual breakthroughs

Maybe it’s just the corner of the internet I’m in,
but every time I open social media…
someone is launching a new AI startup.

And somehow they all give the same vibe:
AI agent for X
AI assistant for Y
AI workflow for Z

Different branding, different color palette, same energy.

It’s not that the ideas are bad — honestly, most of them look super polished.
It’s just funny how the whole space starts blending together when everyone is shipping fast from the same foundation.

Meanwhile, when I look at the top stuff on Product Hunt,
the unique ones still stand out.
There are weird experiments, bold ideas, things that feel like actual creativity.

So I keep thinking:
Is the internet just showing me the “fast-build” version of AI products…
while the truly unique ones live in smaller pockets of the community?

Not saying any of this in a negative way.
I’m new, I’m still learning, just observing the patterns.

But I’m curious if anyone else feels this:
that we’re in this strange era where everyone can build fast,
so the real challenge isn’t shipping…
it’s being different.
