Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Hooman, one of the founders of Viathem.
The idea started with a simple question I kept asking people: "What have you been reading lately?"
Every time I asked, the answer was better than anything an algorithm had ever given me. Because the person answering wasn't optimizing for engagement — they just had taste I trusted.
But that signal was scattered everywhere. Their books on Goodreads. Their films on Letterboxd. Their music on Last.fm. No single place showed me everything a person I admired was consuming.
So I built Viathem.
Share anything you consume — books, films, music, podcasts, articles, links, images. We auto-fetch a smart preview. Your followers see it in one chronological feed. No algorithm decides the order. No ads. Just humans.
What surprised me most during the build: I built the entire thing solo — brand, business plan, design system, and full-stack app — using Cursor and Claude as my co-pilots. It took about 3 weeks.
I'd love to hear: who's the one person whose taste you'd follow on Viathem? 👇
Happy to answer any questions about the product or the build process!
