I built Vesalius because Claude Code was burning 200k tokens on my own repo

Claude Code was burning around 200k tokens just answering questions about my own repo, so I built it a map.

Vesalius is an on-device code graph for Claude Code. It comes as an MCP server, a CLI, a Mac app, and a VS Code extension. Indexing is 100% local, and your code never uploads.

I ran it over 20 real questions. Claude Code alone used 204k tokens per question at 97.8 quality. With Vesalius, it used 113k tokens at 97.4 quality, about 51% fewer tokens, and Claude chose Vesalius 20 out of 20 times.

You can install it with brew install haplollc/tap/vesalius, and the repo is github.com/haplollc/Vesalius.

What would you want a tool like this to answer first about a codebase you are new to? I would love honest feedback.
