We removed the dashboard from our inventory app. Here's why.

by

When we were researching the inventory management space, every competitor had the same answer to the same problem: more visibility. Better charts. More dashboards. More data.

But when we talked to the merchants actually using these tools, the problem wasn't that they couldn't see their inventory. It was that they couldn't figure out what to do next.

A stockout doesn't show up as an insight. It shows up as a customer email.

So we made a decision that we would reduce the number of dashboards and focus on becoming a place of action. The app is built to lead with a decision. Every day, merchants get a feed of actions: what's running low, what needs reordering, which purchase orders to raise, ready to approve in one click.

We still have reporting (merchants need it). But it's not the product. The product is the decision, not the data.

Curious to learn how other saas products are transitioning into more agentic based products?
