Whoa, cool! Does it wrap twitter's mobile web client?
yep! Twitter's new site performs at app like speeds, so using native UI from electron (vibrancy) I was able to make things look a prettier 🐦
I am gonna send a pull request shortly, added a lot of new stuff :D
wow awesome! I'll take a look / likely merge once I'm awake (1-2hours)
this just makes me happy. Open Source at it's finest. Product is released and someone adds a pull request hours later.
a big PR too. Lots of great additions 👏
Does this take advantage of Twitter Lite?
Yep! It's built off of Twitter Lite!
Wow, that's nice
Looks nice. But, does it really need to use Google Analytics as well?
The only tracking is just for me to see how many people are potentially using this thing. It's all entirely anonymous, and only first once during the boot
Just wanted to say that I've been using Chirp for about half an hour and I'm chuffed to bits! :-D So, so smooth and mui-mui pretty...
Can we add multiple Twitter accounts, like the mobile app?
nice job! But it seems like copy and pasting doesn't work when creating a new tweet?
Bizarre! I pushed out an update ~6 hours ago that should have fixed that .. it seems to working fine for me 🤔
There is also clipboard controls in the top system bar
ok, updated and it seems to work, thanks! Is autoupdating supported? And... the icon is really too large IMO. Any chance you could size it to fit in the conventional app icon format?
autoupdating isn't currently supported. I actually started writing code for Chirp ~24 hours ago, so it's still very new :p
Great! There used to be so many Twitter desktop clients for Mac, and now they've either all gone away or haven't been updated in years. This is a welcome addition.
Thanks me. Simple and convenient application.
