What would you want to know about every device on your network?

Vedetta is a Home Assistant app that finds every device on your local network and tells you what it is: name, brand, type, presence and latency, with the reasons behind each guess. It runs entirely at home: no cloud, no account, no telemetry, and it only reads, it never controls a device. When it is not sure, it says so instead of guessing.

Before the launch, your feedback would help a lot:

  • Which device on your network have you never managed to identify?

  • What would you want to see first when you open it?

  • What would make you trust it, or not, on your own network?
