Vedetta is a Home Assistant app that finds every device on your local network and tells you what it is: name, brand, type, presence and latency, with the reasons behind each guess. It runs entirely at home: no cloud, no account, no telemetry, and it only reads, it never controls a device. When it is not sure, it says so instead of guessing.
Before the launch, your feedback would help a lot:
Which device on your network have you never managed to identify?
What would you want to see first when you open it?
What would make you trust it, or not, on your own network?
Home Assistant app: a local network scanner that finds, recognizes and explains every device on your LAN (name, brand, model, presence, latency). No cloud, no accounts. - Sived80/vedetta
