We built the AWS Savings Calculator because every existing tool asks you to already know your numbers before it gives you a number. Ours works the other way around. Upload what you already have (your AWS bill or a Cost Explorer CSV) and it tells you what you could save. Free, no account access, under 60 seconds. Would love to hear from anyone who's tried it and what did your number look like? 👉

This is a smart inversion of the typical flow. The friction of needing to manually gather and input data before seeing value is probably why a lot of people abandon these tools halfway through. How are you handling cases where people's bills are incomplete or span different AWS accounts—does the calculator still give useful estimates, or does it flag where gaps might affect accuracy.

Great question, here's exactly how it handles that:

For the invoice path, the tool is upfront that it shows service totals only, no instance types, regions, or existing commitment data. So it calculates additional savings on top of whatever coverage you already have, not a from-scratch number.

For the CSV path, we ask you to export On Demand spend specifically, so existing Reserved Instances and Savings Plans are already excluded from the input. The 92% accuracy figure reflects additional coverage opportunities on your uncovered spend.

Neither method overstates by ignoring what you've already done. The number you get is what's still being left on the table.
