US Covid Tracker - Track COVID-19 spread across US states & counties

US Covid Tracker is a visualization tool that helps you track the spread of COVID-19 throughout states and counties in the US over time. It automatically pulls in the latest cases/deaths/tests figures from the New York Times and The COVID Tracking Project.

This has become my default way to check-in on COVID nationwide and where I live. Great tool!

Hi PH! There is no shortage of coronavirus data and charts on the web these days, however I still hadn't seen a great resource for tracking the spread over time in the US at the state and county level. The New York Times recently published their daily state/county-level datasets, so I decided to build the tool that I personally wanted to track the spread. The product uses "small multiples" visualizations to present the data, and allows a number of options like per 100k people & log scale for deeper analysis. Cases/deaths data is pulled directly from the New York Times (https://github.com/nytimes/covid...) and testing data from The COVID Tracking project (https://covidtracking.com/). Data for the previous day is usually available around 8:30AM PST. Hopefully you find it useful, and let me know if you have any thoughts on how to improve it!
