Unvibe - Understand AI-generated code without leaving your workflow

Unvibe is a downloadable Mac learning layer for AI-assisted development. Select code, diffs, files, or project context in your existing workflow and get an explanation at the right depth. Unvibe saves key concepts, remembers what you’ve learned, and brings them back through active recall—so you can build quickly with AI while becoming a more capable engineer.

Hey Product Hunt! I built Unvibe after repeatedly hitting the same problem while using Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT: I could generate code faster than I could understand it. The explanation usually lived in a separate chat or tab, disconnected from the codebase and everything I had already learned. Unvibe is my attempt to make understanding part of the workflow. It works as a cross-application learning layer: select code, a diff, a file, or project context; get an explanation at the right depth; save the concepts that matter; and revisit them later through active recall. Unvibe entered public beta on July 20. I’m especially looking for feedback from people who build with AI coding tools: what makes you feel confident changing AI-generated code, and where do you still get stuck? Thanks for checking it out — Preston
How did GPT-5.6 change the ambition or scope of what you shipped?
It changed all of us as I also switched from Claude to Chatgpt after seeing it was dominatingly stronger and far better in token saving
