Would love your feedback on a new approach to browser testing 🚀
Hey folks, I’m working on something new and would love to get your thoughts before it goes live on Product Hunt.
Most QA and dev teams spend way too much time fighting flaky tests, slow setup, and tools that feel bolted together. I’ve been there, and it’s painful.
I’m building Testronaut, an AI-powered, mission-based testing framework. Instead of brittle scripts, you write ‘missions’ (like ‘login.mission.js’), and the agent executes them step by step in the browser. Think of it as autonomous testing with detailed reports (JSON + HTML) and screenshots — so you can spend less time babysitting tests and more time shipping.
I’ve got a working CLI, early SaaS dashboards for reports, and support for new tabs and popups (yes, it can do tests for Google Sign-In now 🎉). Still refining and adding more tools, and would love feedback from developers and QA folks.
What’s the biggest pain you have with browser testing today?
If you could wave a magic wand, what would you want your testing tool to do?
Would you be interested in trying it early and sharing feedback?
Really appreciate any thoughts. I’m learning a ton just talking to developers and QA folks along the way, and your input will shape where this goes. Thanks for reading 🙏
