I’m the founder of Thinkrium, and I wanted to share the story behind Tariflo & why we built it.

Global trade runs on HS codes. Every product crossing borders must be classified correctly. If you get it wrong, shipments can be delayed, fined, or even seized. Today, businesses solve this problem in one of three ways:

1. Hire expensive consultants

2. Manually search massive tariff schedules

3. • Or increasingly ask AI chatbots like ChatGPT

The problem? General AI chatbots were never designed for trade compliance. They can hallucinate HS codes, don’t provide confidence scores, don’t understand regulatory requirements, and offer no audit trail. That creates real operational risk.
