The High Cost of "Maybe": Is the legal system pay-to-play?

by

Hi community,

As I mentioned in my maker comment, I built Caseworth because I paid $3,000 in attorney fees just to find out my case wasn't viable. That financial sting is something I’ll never forget.

We often talk about "Access to Justice," but for most people, the barrier is simply the fear of the bill.

I’m curious to hear from this group: When facing a legal dispute (landlord, injury, contract), what is the #1 thing that stops you from calling a lawyer immediately?

  1. The upfront cost?

  2. The intimidation factor?

  3. The fear that your case isn't "big" enough?

I built Lex to answer those questions before you spend hundreds or thousands on fees. But I’d love to know, what’s your biggest friction point with the current system?
