Probably the invention of plastic, there is just so much pollution, and we have so many other options nowadays that are sustainable.

AI, because I can see potential unethical use of AGI and AI technology in future. I agree that it has several benefits but what if it goes out of our hand? Several years ago where deepfake image and video manupulation tools where not easily available to everyone is now can be accessed easily.
Landmines since they continue to be a problem, barely qualify in this question, and I can't see some horrid butterfly effect happening from being rid of them.
