If you had the power to 'undo' one technological innovation, what would it be and why?

Undoing the advent of fast food chains would promote healthier eating habits, local economies, and reduce environmental impacts from mass food production.

I'd undo the dominance of big tech, restoring competition, innovation, and privacy rights in the digital realm

I'd scrap nuclear weapons to eliminate the looming threat of global annihilation, fostering peace and disarmament efforts

Undoing plastic straws and get ocean relief.

Probably the invention of plastic, there is just so much pollution, and we have so many other options nowadays that are sustainable.

I don’t necessarily have a technological innovation I would undo. But do you think AI will be one of the technological innovations we will want to undo in the future? Why/why not?

AI, because I can see potential unethical use of AGI and AI technology in future. I agree that it has several benefits but what if it goes out of our hand? Several years ago where deepfake image and video manupulation tools where not easily available to everyone is now can be accessed easily.

Landmines since they continue to be a problem, barely qualify in this question, and I can't see some horrid butterfly effect happening from being rid of them.

He suggests that we submit to the dominance of major technology companies—such as Amazon, Google, Apple, and Meta—by providing them with our data in order to utilize their cloud services much in the same way that serfs, also referred to as peasants, would farm and work for their lords, and in exchange, were allowed to reside within the lord's domain.
