ResizePal

How do you resize images in your workflow?

by

Hey everyone!

I kept running into the same annoying problem: I needed to resize or convert a bunch of images, but every tool I tried either made me upload files to a server, had crazy limits, required a software install, or just felt clunky. So... I decided to make my own solution and wanted to share it with the world.

That's how ResizePal was born. It's a browser-based bulk image resizer that works entirely locally - your images never leave your computer. You can resize by dimensions or percentage, convert between JPG, PNG, WEBP and BMP. When not preserving aspect ratio, you have cropping options, can set background colours or choose to preserve PNG/WEBP transparency. All in a few clicks. No sign-ups, no limits, no nonsense.

I'd love to hear from people here: how do you deal with large batches of images? Any workflow tips, favourite tools, or hacks I should know about?

Also, shoutouts to the tech and tools that helped make this possible: Angular, Bootstrap, Hetzner, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, and Inkscape - could not have done it without you all.
