How do people actually handle seating chaos at large weddings/events?

I have been talking to couples and planners recently and was surprised how often seating charts become the most stressful part of an event - especially once guest counts go past ~100.

Between family dynamics, accessibility needs, VIP placement, and last-minute changes, the “simple” seating chart turns into a constant reshuffle.

I am curious how others here have handled this in real life:

• drag-and-drop tools?

• brute force and hope for the best?
