Hey Product Hunt! I'm DUONG NGUYEN ,a solo developer . and I'm building Infotograf
it's an iOS photo sharing app that takes you back to when social media was actually about in 2015 ,sharing moments with friends. Before the ads, the algorithms, and the endless video reels took over.
I grew up during the golden era of Instagram, back in 2012–2015, when your feed was just photos from your friends in the order they posted them. No ads interrupting the scroll. No algorithm deciding what you should see. No pressure to make reels or go viral. Just real moments, shared simply. That version of social media made me fall in love with photography
Infotograf gives you a simple chronological feed, beautiful film-inspired filters, and ambient audio captured with every photo so you can hear the moment, not just see it. It connects to the Fediverse through ActivityPub, which means your photos aren't trapped in any one company's ecosystem. You own everything you post.
I built the whole thing solo. Your support keeps the servers running and motivate me to keep going.thank you deeply. UPDATE IOS AND ANDROID APPS are ready still early days but it works and it's free iOS: apps.apple.com/app/id6761331537
Android (beta): play.google.com/apps/testing/com.infotograf.android
policy: infotograf.com/about
thanks for reading everyone, nice day.

Love this nostalgic take on social media...brings back the good old days of simple photo sharing! Fellow solo dev here digging the chronological feed, film filters, and Fediverse openness.
If you're up for it, I'm launching The Sponge on PH soon...an AI-powered flashcard app that turns webpages into study material via browser extension. Would appreciate a follow (see "PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH" link in my profile).
@rianbrob Hi Rian , thanks for the comment , sorry I live sort of close to a farm so internet is even down at times , but yes course I'll drop you a follow ,
just checked out your Sponge , yes id vote/thumbsup ( whatever it is in here ) for it , can be really useful really in classroom situations . I used to teach science to grade 4,5,6 and yeah there were times where I just had to read them very boring stuff from Google, often 1 site has the photo and the second has the science content, not interactive at all,
I do know how it is to be a solo dev, thats why i'd take my mind off in nature ,let my brain cells wrie after playing chess in 5 dimensions.
I hope Sponge will be doing a good job at flashcarding, and moreover find its success in launching ,maintaining , developing .
DUONG NGUYEN.
Hey Duong, nice to meet you 👋
I really like the idea behind Infotograf that brining back that simple, chronological sharing experience from early Instagram days is honestly refreshing.
The focus on real moments without algorithms or pressure to go viral feels like something a lot of people are missing right now.
I’m also building something as a solo developer (ReplyMate — helps generate email replies inside Gmail & Outlook), so I can definitely relate to the grind haha
I actually launched today as well — if you have a moment, I’d really appreciate any feedback. Would love to hear what you think!
Good luck with your launch!!
@taeyun Hi Kim ,
cheers appreciate it! yeah the solo dev struggle is real . yeah im not often online , but I'll drop you a like or vote or whatever it is in here . I think it could be useful for some specific people , im not really the guy for it , I simply live a rural life without the needs of grinding on social networking stuff too much .but again I admire people who's grinding out there on productivity apps that interconnect, often there are loads maintain , marketing etc , honest hope that people find that useful and you have a successful launch .
Very interesting! How does the ambient audio work? does it record automatically when you take the photo?
@olga_kargopolova yes im still sort of cooking it, so my policy is authenticity but still being connected , basically when you're in the camera, you pick between three modes. "no audio", "ambient", or "voice". if you go with ambient it records a few seconds of whatever's happening around you right when you take the photo. so like if you're at a cafe it picks up the background noise, people chatting, music playing, whatever. voice mode is more for if you want to say something yourself over the photo like a little voice note. it all gets attached to the photo and people can hear it when they scroll past your post. the idea is a photo only captures what something looked like but not what it sounded like. this way you get both, also its got different gradient indicators from apple toolkits , which is only on ios , but yeah so far so good, I think me mates on android doesnt hate it .
