Snoozed Twitch channel still visible? Check these three rules

by•

Maker note: Perfsn makes Twitch Snooze. This troubleshooting guide is based on the product documentation; it does not claim independent testing.

Twitch Snooze hides supported stream cards and sidebar rows in desktop Chrome and Edge. If a channel stays visible, or comes back sooner than expected, these checks help explain the result.

1. Check the duration and browser profile

“Today” ends at local midnight. “24 hours” lasts a full day from when you choose it. Open Hidden Content and inspect the return time before creating another snooze. Rules belong to the current browser profile and do not sync to another device or change the Twitch mobile app.

2. Check for a whitelist entry

The whitelist keeps a streamer visible even when a snooze or category rule would hide them. A category exception is narrower: it keeps that streamer visible in one hidden category. If you want someone hidden temporarily, an existing whitelist entry can explain why your snooze appears ineffective.

3. Check what category Twitch actually shows

A category rule needs a visible category label. Unknown categories stay visible. A collapsed sidebar may need an expanded row or a matching loaded stream card before the category can be identified. A streamer-plus-category rule also stops hiding that streamer when their visible category changes.

How to undo a rule

Open Hidden Content → Streamers and choose Restore. This removes that streamer's own hide rules. If a global category filter still applies, Restore creates an exception for that streamer in that category. If the streamer later changes categories, another category rule can still apply.

For a simple first check, snooze one channel briefly, inspect its return time in Hidden Content, then restore it. Direct channel links still work: snoozing does not change follows, subscriptions, playback or chat.

The illustrated guide and Chrome/Edge install links are here:

If a supported card still behaves unexpectedly after these checks, which browser, Twitch page and rule type are involved? Please include whether the category label was visible and whether a whitelist or category exception applied. Those details help distinguish a rule conflict from a page compatibility issue.
