Hi Product Hunt β€” I'm Iago, the solo dev behind Trainer Gym AI. I started building this three years ago for one stupid reason: every AI fitness app I tried gave me a workout, called it personalised, and then just… handed me the same workout next week. I've been lifting on and off for fifteen years and I knew that's not how a real coach works. A real coach watches how you trained on Monday and changes Wednesday because of it. That's the thing I wanted, so I built it. Today the app does three things I think are worth your time: 1. It generates a plan that fits your specific goal (strength, hypertrophy, recomp, athletic, recovery, etc.), the equipment you actually have at your gym, your training history, and how much time you've got. 2. After every set you log it nudges tomorrow's plan β€” not in a "good job keep going!" way, in a "you cruised through this so we're adding load next time" way. 3. It coaches during the set. Tempo, rest cues, when to push, when to bail. Not screaming, not gamified β€” just the things a half-decent trainer would say if they were standing next to you. The whole thing is native iOS (I rewrote the React Native version into SwiftUI last year β€” that was a journey), the AI runs through a Cloudflare Worker I wrote with three layers of guardrails (I posted about that on HN last week), and the model context never sees your email or anything sensitive. Pricing is free to use, Pro is a small subscription for the heavier coaching features. App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tr.... What I'd love feedback on, specifically: - Onboarding. I've redesigned it three times this year and I still don't feel like it's right. - Whether the "real-time coaching cues" feel useful or naggy. - What you'd want from a gym AI that no one's done yet. I'll be in the comments all day. Ask me anything β€” about the product, the indie iOS economics, the RN-to-SwiftUI migration, anything.
