tradeoff.life-Every habit is a tradeoff - See what your daily habits really cost you

by
Translate your daily habits into real things — apartments, trips, years of life. Your €5 coffee isn't €5. Over 30 years invested at 7%, it's a Berlin apartment. Or 165 trips. Or 9 years of life. tradeoff.life translates daily spending into things that actually matter — through multiple lenses, in your local currency. Built solo, in 7 days.

Hi PH 👋 I'm sanoi (Hochul Song), a solo dev based in Berlin. A while back I built nocnoc.me. Spent months on it, shipped to silence, got tired, stopped. Classic indie failure mode. I needed a smaller bet with a tighter loop. So I gave myself 7 days to build tradeoff.life. The premise: a number like "€297,000 over 30 years" doesn't mean anything to anyone. But "9 years of your life" does. Or "198 months of rent." Or "165 Europe trips." Same money, different lenses, suddenly visceral. What I'm proud of: → Native pricing per market, no FX games. Berliners see €1,500 rent. Americans see $3,200. Both real, both shocking. → A "lens" model I pivoted to mid-week — instead of forcing users through some operator chain, you just see the same value through multiple frames at once. → Every result page is a shareable poster. The OG image generates from your URL on Cloudflare's edge. → Two clean affiliate picks per page (one book, one product). No banners, no popups. Disclosed everywhere. Tech: NuxtHub, Cloudflare Workers, Satori for OG, full EN/DE i18n. Day 3 was a full UX pivot. Day 4 was a 1.5h fight with Workers WASM. Day 6 was localization rabbit hole. Day 7 was tightening screws. Try a habit. Drag the time bar. See what you're really giving up. Happy to answer anything — and roast my code 🙏
