Hi, I'm Lukas. I'm an ambitious cyclist myself, and I have been working on trace for about six months, the last few of them in beta. Now it is here: trace is officially available in the App Store.

It answers the questions that really count in training: how recovered am I today? And what should I train next? A readiness score every morning with all the factors behind it, each of them measured against your own values from the past weeks instead of population norms. Fitness, fatigue and form. Critical power and W' from your normal rides, no test protocol. Climbs detected automatically, heat acclimatization, fueling and race prep for your target race.

One point that matters to me: all of these numbers are calculated, no language model is involved in them. The AI sits on top. It explains your values, answers questions, writes the report after a session and drafts the training and fueling plans, and even there it moves inside calculated limits: periodization, weekly TSS and fueling targets come from the engine, and every generated week is checked against them.

Right now trace is an app for the iPhone, and in the browser it runs on any device. Most of the past months went into the iOS app, and I am now improving the web interface step by step. A native Android app is in the works.

The basic version stays free. The full analysis is 6.99 EUR a month, plans, race prep and the full coach 12.99 EUR, both free to try for 14 days.

I'll be around in the comments and would be glad about any feedback and suggestions. And I'm curious: what is the one question about your own training that no app has answered for you so far? That is exactly how trace started for me.
