The primary inspiration was the real, widespread need for digital accessibility — especially in color contrast compliance. Designers, developers, product teams, and even solo creators often struggle to ensure that the color combinations they choose meet WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards for readability and inclusivity. Low contrast can make text and UI elements illegible for people with visual impairments, color-vision deficiencies, or even users in bright outdoor settings. Traditional design workflows don’t always make this easy to test or validate quickly, so we built a focused, no-friction tool that helps anyone instantly check whether their foreground and background color pairs meet WCAG AA and AAA contrast requirements.
