Nice product, congrats on the launch! 🎉 I enjoyed the insightful video walkthrough and the simplicity of the reports page. I've got a couple of questions for you: - How do you manage tracking time simultaneously on two independent tasks? - Do you support any collaboration features so these tasks and tracking can be shared with my team? - I didn't see any report export options, is it possible to export the timesheet to prepare an invoice for a client? Good luck in the next steps

@ilko_kacharov Thank you for your support and they're some really great questions. • Would love to hear more about what you mean about simultaneously tracking time on separate tasks. What would the desired outcome be? • We don’t have collaboration features just yet. We’re focused on making the individual’s experience as good as it can be at the moment. Collaboration features might come in the future, but we’re being very careful in how we think about them: https://www.hellotimo.co/blog/wh... • Export features and invoice creation is something we’re seriously considering as the next major development of Timo. For the time being, it’s very easy to get your data out. Simply copy and paste from the time log table on the overview page.

@rdjpalmer Sometimes by accident you might press the record button on two different tasks and get double tracked time which overlaps. With manual tracking this might be an issue. Are you facing such scenarios? Nice article, really on point about the automation vs manual time tracking. --- About the collaboration - maybe what I mean is more simplistic "copy url to report" kind of sharing, so I can send my billable hours to the accounting team.

@ilko_kacharov ah yes! So while you're using it in the same window it's impossible to track two tasks at the same time. We'll toggle the active one off, and the new one on when you hit the record button. You can still track multiple todos across multiple devices, but we're working on a way to share this state across devices so it's clearer whats happening. For the copy url to report piece, we've got a prototype of this already! Just need to design how it'll work and the specifics of the feature before we can move ahead 🙂 Thanks again for your kind remarks!

@rdjpalmer Thanks for the update! Best of luck!

@ilko_kacharov @rdjpalmer invoice feature would be amazing! I would love to mark tasks as payable and expected amount/h. Then in the end of month or several months, be able to filter projects and mark tasks as “invoiced” to generate invoices and finally “paid” when the invoice is paid. Would be awesome!

It’s been awhile and we’re back! I’m Richard, co-founder of Timo. Today we’re excited to launch Timo v2 🎉 @jordanamblin and I started Timo back in August 2018 after a conversation about the state of time tracking tools. He had been struggling with filling in his timesheets as a contractor of a well known design agency. The time tracker was of the wrong fidelity, focusing on projects and groups of work rather than individuals todos. He had his todo list in one app, and time tracking in another. Often out of sync, missing important todos or even time working. Here’s what is new and improved with v2: • Reduce context switching by putting your todo list and time tracking in one place. • Fill your invoices or timesheets with day, week and month reports • Focus on the task at hand with project filtering, and a day by day view. • Plan ahead by seeing all your tasks for the week. • Take your tasks anywhere with cloud based syncing. • Work from anywhere with full offline support. Subscribe today from 4 GBP per month, with a 7 day free trial. Let us know what you think and happy tracking!

I love simple products that just work. I used Timo years ago for a while. Eventually I settled on the Android app “Boosted” which follows a similar logic. Since then, Timo has evolved into something much more powerful, while still maintaining its initial philosophy. I don’t need to track my time all that often, but if I ever do in the future, Timo is where I’ll go. Other time tracking apps (like Toggl) seem so complicated and anxiety-inducing to me. I never “got” them. To each their own, of course, but a product like Timo makes so much more sense to me. 👏

@anna_0x Amazing, thanks for your comment Anna! Glad we can provide some calm amongst the rest of the tools available 😊

Aaryan
Hey, love what you have created. Is there an option to assign tasks/projects?
Richard Palmer
@aaryawn Thanks Aaryan! Do you mean assign tasks or projects to people? Right now Timo is for individuals only. We're in the midst of thinking about how we might offer team collaboration features. I go into some of this on our blog.
