Been using TickTick for about a year now, one of the few apps out there that covers the bases that I’m looking for from a to-do app (most important one being having the ability to combine my calendars and tasks into one view. The people who say the two need to be separated frustrate me!). The Markdown feature will definitely make adding lengthy notes/tasks easier. Something that wasn’t the cleanest thing to do in TickTick before (which was a shame since it also has a ‘plan your day’ feature - giving it feature parity with sorted3 on the iPhone, as an example, in basically everything way except for the note taking! (And obviously loads of other features). To me the thing that is lacking is the List & item/Tag management - such as the lack of projects (and as the sidebar reflects this it also makes managing events a little weird from the side bar. I mainly stick with the Calendar View). The newly added ‘focus’ lists are nice, but without having the ability to have Projects they kind of made me have to re-think the way I manage my lists as ‘Personal’ and ‘Work’ were list groups with regular lists either being regular lists or projects depending on the need (which sucked a bit since I would have to either add a ‘misc’ list for tasks not assigned to a project and/or add a list to show all the items assigned to a group - either way I had to add items giving me more to sort through). Looking forward to seeing what else you guys come up with!
