Great to see Tick launched! Congrats! I'd be interesting to know how do you plan on monetising your platform and allowing creators to monetise their accounts? Ads? Sponsored posts?

Hi Winston 👋There are numerous options we are looking into in regards to monetisation. Sponsored posts are one of them, however we’re focussing on building a world-class product before we truly explore these options. Creators will be able to post links on their profile and at the end of their stories so can monetise that section as they want! We understand people gotta eat 😋

Do you have to film everything in-app or can you import it?

Yes! You can import anything from the camera roll. So you can dig out any old footage if you wanted too 👊

As a content creator and I’ve been using Tick for the past month as one of the early testers. Love the trimming and slow motion/speed up features (very advanced for an app this early in development). Huge potential in this as a story format and tool for a lot of creators and people who love to share their craft. They’ve got a small community at the moment but this will grow over time.

Pros:

Really nifty creator tool!

Cons:

Currently homes a small (but potentially awesome) community.

This deserves to be huge. Encourages both playful curiosity and actual learning. Simple, easy interface and I’m looking forward to seeing it grow.
Looks like something I might try out, but seems like there's only an iOS version..
