👋 Hello Product Hunt! Together with my co-founder Lauris we've been developing and bootstrapping database management software, mobile apps and Lauris also coded for a top3 crypto exchange. Then came the lockdowns and the world started getting crazy with trading stocks, cryptos, and whatever moved the ticker. It quickly became clear that most people don't know even the basics and are just YOLO-ing their money away. So we decided to challenge ourselves and make an educational trading app where people could learn the fundamentals without risking their mortgages or student loans. Defying the basic rule of startups, we started with the most challenging part that could break us - building a live-price trading simulator from scratch during evenings and weekends. And it did almost break us. We lost one partner along the way. But luckily we pushed through. This version with the simulator is the first step towards our vision of a gamified trading education app. And yes, we know that traditional trading simulators can give a false sense of your skills. That's why the next updates will feature interactive school materials to learn the ropes of trading and investing. Barron Wuffett will be your mentor in stocks and investing. Satoshi will guide you through the perils of crypto. And Serge Goros will teach you about the technical stuff of forex.
