Hi Product Hunters 👋 I'm Cuong, solo founder of ThePickleHub. Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in Asia right now — Vietnam alone has gone from <1,000 players to over 500,000 in under two years. But every tool (Pickleheads, DUPR, pickleball.com) is built around the US market, with US rules, US events, and English-only content. So I built what I wished existed: – A bilingual (🇻🇳/🇺🇸) platform where Vietnamese players can read news, watch streams, and join tournaments in their own language – Tournament software that handles the messy bracket formats Asian clubs use (flex, double-elim with consolation, round-robin into knockouts) – Livestream + replay so small clubs can broadcast without a production team – Official digital partnership with PPA Tour Asia for first-party coverage Everything's free for players. Organizers get tournament tools free; we monetize via ads + sponsored tournaments. What I'd love feedback on: 1. The bilingual UX — does the language toggle work clearly for non-VN users? 2. The tournament creation flow — intuitive for a first-time organizer? 3. Any features you wish existed in the pickleball software space? AMA — I'll be here all day. Thanks for checking it out! 🏓

Been using the bracket tool at our club tournaments in Hanoi for the past 2 months. Before TPH we were doing brackets on paper plus 3 Excel files, total chaos with 32 players. Now player see Their match live on their phone, zero arguments. One feature I'd love: live dashboard. Congrats on launch day

@pham_thu_huong Thanks - that "paper + 3 Excel files" scene was exactly what pushed me to build this. Saw it at local club tournaments every weekend and couldn't stop thinking about the waste.

PDF export: great call. Brackets are already SVG-rendered internally, so this should be doable within 2-3 weeks. I'll post in this thread when it ships so you can test first.

Quick question back - do your tournaments usually run single-elim, round-robin, or MLP format? I'm trying to decide priority for the next round-robin UI redesign since 20+ player draws get cramped currently.

@cuongmit I usually use round robin followed by playoff.

@pham_thu_huong ok. i will improve it. thanks

Watched the PPA Tour Asia Vietnam stop livestream on TPH last month - quality was solid, no buffering on 4G. The replay feature saved me because I missed the semifinals live and caught up the next day. Very few pickleball platforms in Asia do this well. Rooting for you!

Im livestream viewer from Vietnam

@vu_thi_hien Thanks! Mux handles the adaptive bitrate ladder for us, which is why 4G works smoothly - the stream auto-drops to 360p/480p when bandwidth dips without buffering. Saved a ton of engineering time vs. building that ourselves.

On replays: glad the SF save worked out. Next sprint I'm adding auto-generated highlights (15-30s clips of key points) so you can skim before watching the full match. Should ship in May.

Curious - when you watched on replay, did you jump around using the scrubber or watch linearly? Trying to decide if we invest in per-point chapter markers (expensive) or just better search/thumbnails.

Pickleball is exploding across Southeast Asia right now, not just Vietnam. Glad someone is finally building infrastructure for this region instead of forcing us to use US-centric tools. One question: any plans to expand to Thai or Indonesian language too? The opportunity here feels massive.

Cường Mít

@nguyen_tam8 Thanks - you're exactly right. Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines are growing 3-5x YoY right now, similar curve to Vietnam 18 months ago.

Language expansion: Thai is on the Q3 roadmap, Indonesian likely Q4. The i18n framework is already bilingual (VN/EN), so adding languages is mostly content translation plus font support (Thai script needs specific handling). Prioritizing by tournament density per country.

Question back - are you based in SEA? Would love intros to organizers in Thailand or Indonesia if you know any. Reach me at thepicklehub.net@gmail.com, super useful for understanding local needs before shipping those languages.

As a Vietnamese player, being able to read tournament rules and news in my own language is huge. Most pickleball platforms I tried before TPH required me to Google-translate everything. The VN/EN toggle on the blog posts feels smooth. Would love more beginner content in Vietnamese down the line — maybe short video tutorials?

Cường Mít

@huong_pham13 Thanks - the "Google-translate everything" pain is exactly why I spent extra time building the VN/EN toggle into every page instead of just auto-translating. Fully translated content ranks better in VN SEO too, so it doubles as distribution.

Beginner Hub in Vietnamese is shipping early May - VN versions of "Pickleball Rules 2026," "How to Score," and "How to Play for Beginners" are drafted already. Video tutorials are Q3, waiting until we have a decent production setup since phone footage won't cut it for technique content.

Question back — what specific beginner topic would you want video on first? Serving mechanics, kitchen rules, doubles positioning? Trying to prioritize based on actual player gaps.

Quick update ~6 hours in — currently ranked #48 of the day. Honestly exceeds what I expected for a solo founder launching from Vietnam with zero PH network.

For anyone discovering TPH now: bilingual (Vietnamese-English) pickleball platform built for Asia's growing scene. Tournament management + livestream + replay + daily news. Free for players, free tournament tools for organizers.

3 ideas already surfacing from comments that ship this week: PDF bracket export, notification score preview, round-robin UI rework.

Forum thread is open if you want deeper context 🏓
