Theft Monitoring for Event PCs - Don't let your expensive rig walk away

by
Get instant Discord alerts the second your showcase hardware is disconnected. Built originally for indie game developers manning solo booths, Theft Monitor is a lightweight Windows utility that runs silently in the background. If someone unplugs your PC's power or disconnects the ethernet cable, the app immediately fires a high-priority webhook to your Discord. Get the peace of mind to step away from your setup to network, eat, or take a break.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm a game developer and the solo maker behind Theft Monitor. The Origin Story: The idea for this came from pure anxiety. Whenever my team went to gaming events or conventions to showcase our current project, we rarely had the budget to send a full crew. Often, it was just one person manning the booth. But what happens when that dev needs to grab lunch, go to the bathroom, or step away to network? Leaving an expensive PC running unattended in a massive convention hall is terrifying. The Solution: I needed a way to know instantly if someone was messing with our showcase rig. So, I built Theft Monitor. It runs completely silently in the background on your Windows PC. If the power is cut or the network cable is suddenly disconnected, it triggers an alarm. Why Discord? Because as game devs, Discord is where we live. I integrated it so the app fires a Webhook directly to your Discord the second something goes wrong. I'm releasing it for other indie devs, event exhibitors, and gamers who need that same security. I’d absolutely love to hear your feedback or answer any questions! Cheers! 🛡️
