Hello Guys! I would like to share The Point Poker, a new web app I built to make agile effort estimation fun, engaging, and stylish! After a month of development, I’ve launched this MVP to help engineers and teams estimate tasks and user stories. As someone working in a company that runs 3-4 grooming and planning sessions per sprint/week, I saw the need for a simple, beautiful tool to streamline pointing sessions. What is The Point Poker? The Point Poker is a web app designed for agile teams to estimate effort using a sleek, minimalist interface. Unlike other tools in the market, we focus on delivering a delightful user experience with unique features: Minimal UI: Clean design that makes pointing sessions visually appealing. Gamification: Level up as you participate, keeping you motivated and engaged. Custom Cards: Unlock stylish, personalized poker cards to point with flair. Right now, this MVP is for individual engineers (B2C), but I’m planning to expand with team-focused features for companies (B2B) in the future, like integrations with Jira and Slack, retrospectives, and wellness tracking. Try out The Point Poker at https://www.thepointpoker.com Share your thoughts on the UI, gamification, or card designs. Suggest features you’d love to see (e.g., team collaboration tools, analytics, etc.). Thanks for your support 🙏

The idea of leveling up during estimation sessions is such a creative spin—it keeps everyone involved and engaged.

Kelvin Arnold

@justice_nissan Yes! The leveling system keeps users engaged by allowing them to unlock new cards (Under development) and reach higher levels. It makes Planning Poker sessions much more dynamic and fun 🙇‍♂️

Launching as B2C first is a brilliant move! I’m excited to see how the Jira/Slack integrations will work in the B2B version.

Kelvin Arnold

@summer_jack Yes, exactly. I'm using a B2C strategy to validate and improve the web app, and getting some early leads is also a key priority 💪

I just tried a quick round, and the experience was seamless! I’d love to see some analytics features added in the future.

Kelvin Arnold

@sharon_linday For sure! More tools will be added in the near future, and your feedback is gold to me. Thank you 🙏

The idea of gamifying estimation makes me curious—will there be leaderboards for teams in the future?

Kelvin Arnold

@isabella_hayes2 That's an excellent idea. I'll definitely consider implementing a leaderboard for both teams and global users. Thank you for that suggestion 🔥

Lavinta Hasan

I gave it a try, and those personalized poker cards are fantastic! They really make the estimation process enjoyable instead of dull.

Kelvin Arnold

@lavinta_hasan Each card is a little piece of art. That's because ThePointPoker isn't just a planning poker app; it's a platform where everyone can share their personality through custom cards and seals. This initial version includes a couple of unique card designs, with many more on the way to make your poker sessions more varied and fun! 😎

Navigating the dashboard is a breeze. It’s so much smoother and more intuitive than other pointing tools I’ve tried.

Kelvin Arnold

@jester_jason9876 I'm so glad you found it simple and easy to use! That's the whole goal of ThePointPoker. Your feedback really tells me I'm on the right track. Thanks so much! ☕

The clean design is what really drew me in. Estimation tools often feel so dull—this one is a breath of fresh air.

Kelvin Arnold

@yelina_wood Most of the planning poker tools out there are pretty boring, so I decided to build ThePointPoker. It's a simple estimation app with a bit of a gamified twist. I'll be adding more features and improving the experience in the next iteration! 🚀

Tina Richard

This app looks way better than what we’re currently using at work. I’m definitely bookmarking it for my next sprint.

Kelvin Arnold

@tina_richard I'd love to see how your team uses ThePointPoker! I look forward to hearing your feedback. Thank you so much for giving it a try 🙏

Sophia Carter

The gamification feature is a stroke of brilliance. Planning sessions can get repetitive, but this makes them so much more enjoyable.

Kelvin Arnold

@sophia_carter7 Exactly. Earning experience from voting is just the beginning! In future versions, users will be able to unlock stylish card designs and add custom seals, allowing them to create unique cards that showcase their estimation expertise 🚀
