The Guinness Map - Find the best (and worst) pints of Guinness around the world

The Guinness Map idea was born one night in April 2024. I was just finishing up at a friend's birthday dinner and my wife asked if we wanted to go grab a pint somewhere else. We found a local Irish bar and I contemplated ordering a Guinness — in NYC though, this can be a risk. I wondered to myself, is there somewhere online I can find out whether or not this place has something worth sampling? While I drank what ended up being a below-average pint, I started to search around, but couldn't find anything that met my requirements...I wanted a Google Maps-style website that could locate me and show my local area with any locations/reviews. There was a dated website that had locations but no reviews. No good. There was a nice official Guinness website that had locations but no reviews (and only in Australia). No good. So I figured: I'm a software engineer, I can put together a website that allows people to upload reviews and pictures for places that serve Guinness (good or bad) around the world. Thus, The Guinness Map website was born. - Darren
